25/08/07 - Charity Raft Races

Bank Holiday Saturday saw large numbers of people heading for the Canal Basin to support the intrepid souls who took to the water on homemade rafts.  Luckily, it was warm and sunny and even those who capsized and had to be rescued didn’t suffer too much.  All the money raised was destined for Ripon charity Scuba Diving For All.  Several members of the Ripon Activity Project have already been trained and enjoyed diving holidays on the Red Sea.
