23/10/11 - Malton Literature Festival

I’ve just had a very interesting evening at the finale, hosted by Andy Humphrey, of the Malton Literature Festival. 

My enjoyment of the readings of winning and short listed poems and short stories was marred somewhat by a hacking cough - mine - which made a rapid exit necessary on a few occasions.  However, I managed to stay on for performances by poets Steve Toase and Rose Drew in the bar of the Milton Rooms afterwards.

Steve was there partly to publicise Indigo Rising UK, which is currently looking for submissions of flash fiction, literary short stories and poems in any form.
