12/09/07 - York Writers

I’ve just spent a very enjoyable evening with York Writers.  Before the meeting, I joined three of the members for a meal at the Ujala Restaurant.  It’s only a few doors down from Guppy’s Enterprise Club where YW meet and the food was excellent.

Iain Thyne’s talk on forensics was both informative - I came away with pages of useful notes - and entertaining.  Adept at paring a complex and often grim subject down to the essentials for the layman, Iain is also a good raconteur.  His joy at finding a big green bogey attached to a criminal’s discarded latex glove will be hard to forget, although I’m trying!
